Yes it works.  Read the books written by Esther & Jerry Hicks. It's very powerful stuff.  The movie "The Secret" didn't talk about them, but they were the most powerful part, without the teachings of Abraham, "The Secret" is incomplete and of no value.

Yes, it can work.  But she's not following the program.  At no point is the system meant to work purely off of "wanting" or "hoping" or "praying".  It also clearly states it requires effort and work.

You do not use it as a crutch, you use it as an instrument.  It requires effort, and hard work, and diligence...not just wishful thinking.

Without one, you cannot have the other; and without both, you cannot have the goal.

It works mainly on you, giving you courage and motivation to move forward.  But the Bible says that faith in God works (the secret is a sort of secularized version of faith in the Bible).
