Question:

Does the loss of this filling mean I now need to have two teeth extracted?

I already have one tooth thats broken and has to be pulled but am too scared to get into the dentists chair and I've been waiting until such a time when my courage is good enough.

There was stupid me thinking things couldnt get worse until five minutes ago when I was eating some gingerbread and felt that what I was chewing on was too hard to be icing, turns out this has dislodged a filling next to the tooth that needs to be extracted, I havent even looked at myself in the mirror yet so dont know how bad this looks but am furious with myself over this.

I think now I'm going to have to get this one pulled as well now, great! Luckily they're both near the back which is something I

suppose. Maybe they can fit me with dentures or something.

  1. Maybe the can do both at once and maybe they won`t have to pull them they could replace the fillings. Good luck my friend and may the force be with you.

  2. As long as decay doesn't invade the tooth where the filling fell out, they'll just replace the filling. Gargle with Listerine or some antibacterial mouth wash. That will help kill bacteria. Good luck and get to the dentist. I actually managed to break a tooth on pudding! How is that even possible?

  3. They will probably just replace the filling.  I had something similar happen awhile back & that's what my dentist did.

P.S. Have another bite of gingerbread on my behalf-I love the stuff!

  4. I chipped a tooth on a Jujubee once, so I feel your pain.

I don't think that the tooth that lost the filling will need to be extracted, probably just resealed with a new filling.

All the more reason to do it soon so the creepy crawly germies don't invade your newly exposed tooth.

Best of luck to you. Be brave.

    Best wishes and floss,

    Your tooth fairy :)

  5. No they won't have to pull it King.  You only need a new filling for this new indignity.  & you shall not be fitted with dentures, it's only your back teeth.
