Does the media influence public opinion of minority/ethnic groups as a result of terrorism?

Has the media affected the public view of minority groups (i.e. the Islam society, Irish citizens after the IRA attacks) after the terrorism attacks of 9/11, 7/7 and those carried out by the IRA?

Would you personally feel as though your opinion of minority groups has changed as a result of these terrorist attacks? Has the media influenced your opinion on any way?

The information you provide will help me with my A-level Media exam, and all answers will remain completely anonymous in my research.

Thanks, guys!

  1. my opinion as a muslim is that the media really do influence decisions and go way to far So that people have a different prespective on it without even knowing them. it's like the expression "don't judge a book without it's cover" in the same way don't judge the religion without even knowing. if you ever really got to know a muslim theirs way more to them then the belief of us being exremist some of us are really nice it's like humasns theirs good ones and bad ones and the majority of us are good.
