  1. we've seen a lot of allergic reactions to Lisinopril in the ER that I work in.  Mostly swollen lips & tongue, but sometimes itchy throat, annoying dry cough. Check with your doctor.


  2. it is known for causing a hacking cough, especially. if this is happening, a similar medication called an Angiotensin II receptor blocker can be substituted.

    side note: how long have you been on the med? docs usually like to give it at least 4-6 weeks before switching. side effects of most drugs, like sore throat, are usually temporary. the chronic cough, however, is cause for changing medication.

  3. yes it does ,go back and see your doctor or nurse and they can change it
