Does the mexican border patrol always search your car when crossing back into america??

Question

lets say i am coming back from mexico. will they search me or my car? will they use the dogs for my car? how would a person sneak prescription drugs across the border?

i am not actualy going to mexico because i live in florida. i am just wondering about it. it seems like that would be very time consuming. i that why so many people get away with smuggling drugs and firworks?

The Mexican customs searches your car as you enter Mexico, and the Mexican Army sets up road block (looking) for Drugs and weapons.

The United States customs will search your car as you leave Mexico. You need a Prescription if you are in possession of those drugs and they will have sniffer dogs. No fireworks allowed legally in the United States.

Most smugglers know what they are doing and get away with it. They are prepared to take the consequences and/or reap the rewards. Don't be dumb. Your life is not a movie.

The search of vehicles and/or persons is not mandatory.

However the boarder patrol are legally allowed to stop, search and ask any questions they feel are necessary and there is nothing you can do about it.

Sniffer dogs are often in procession.

No-one here is going to tell you how to sneak things back into the country.... you either get lucky or you don't... simple as.

And if you are trying to sneak things which shouldn't be here then I hope you get what is coming to you.

The people who will search your car when you return to the US from Mexico are te U.S. customs officials. They will use dogs on your car if they want to. The Mexicans don't care what you take back to the USA.

No. If you are a us citizen, they don't always search your car. I have driven from Mexico to San Diego a lot w/no searches.  You don't even need a passport.

They could search it if they wanted to...

I wouldn't try to smuggle anything in, they are true pros at sniffing out contraband.

They do a random search of every so many cars. They don't catch everyone, for sure , but I wouldn't want to risk it. If you look like a risk they will search your car for sure with the dogs.
