It's a real eye opener to see that behind the image of having a rich lifestyle, a mansion and as many possessions as you want there lurks a unstable and shallow personality like this millionaire. People should become less concerned with their possessions and focus on each other to stop these tragedies happening.

  1. He obviously felt more for his house, cars and money than he did for his lovely family and beloved family pets...i think he was evil beyond belief..he was an absolute coward and probably a sociopath.

  2. Out of everyone I know who are seriously monied they are either unhappy or works like dogs with no quality of life , never see their kids etc...

It's no joke being skint either but wealth does seem to create an odd type of unhappiness. And sometimes peoples whole perception of who and what they are , are tied into being wealthy. So when it goes wrong....

Personally I' d sooner have the stress of making a meal out of bugger all than a life devoted to the acquisition and trappings of money.

  3. I know. It comes down to priorities. I hear stories of people working 100 hours a week or see it myself from people that I've met or know. I'm like, why. Sometimes they seem like very selfish and judgmental people to the extreme. I don't see the point in working yourself to the death. We have plenty of people that can chip in. We continue to lose jobs so there is no need for someone to work more than 2 full time jobs. I think we all need to be more realistic in terms of our expectations for our life and go towards more quality of life rather than quantity.

edit: There are plenty of people that really admire them. Have you experienced that? People that are just attracted to money, status, and material possessions. If you don't have it then you are tossed aside as not being good enough. I grew up in a wealthy town so I saw this firsthand. It's more than that though. It seems a cheap facade.

edit: People should embrace reality and truth instead of hiding it. I think that's where we get into trouble. Life happens in every sense. It's how we handle it that shows our real character and our real worth/value.

  4. I suppose in the end, money can't buy you happiness, and really, it's what killed them all. It's all very sad.

  5. i have to agree with your answer!^^

  6. if anyone thinks you can be judged by status and wealth even before this happened they seriously have a tiny IQ and shouldnt be allowed out on their own.

  7. Some seriously wealthy people are also the most villainous creatures on the planet so no would be the answer.

It's the wealthy ones forever striving to get more and more that are never happy. Those that reach a comfortable level and are content just to maintain that level can be very happy indeed.

  8. I couldn't agree more....
