Does the mixture of races create a new race?

The America's (north and south) have people from Asia, Africa, Europe, etc. they eventually mix and create children of mixed races...

is the integrating of two races a new race of itself?

for example an african and a native american would produce someone (according to the colonial latin american caste system) called a zambo.

is that child a new race of itself?

a race is defined as agroup of persons related by common descent or heredity.

it has nothing to do with culture or nationality.

there are three main races.

Caucasoid- People of Europe

Negroyd- People of Africa

Mongoloid- People of Asia

""So does the mixture of races create a new race?""

blue and red makes purple, if you catch my drift.

I believe we all belong to one race: the human race. however after buying two hybrid puppies i find crossing genetic lineages intriguing now.

  1. Your last line is my answer. We're all part of the human race. Yes, there are different classes of animals, but when it comes down to it, a dog is a dog, and a cat is a cat. Here's the catch...

A poodle doesn't dislike a bulldog because it's not a poodle. They're both dogs. But a human will dislike another human because they not the same as them.

To answer the question, yes, perhaps the mixing of races creates a new race, however, by defining it that way I think it just gives hateful people one more thing to hate.

  2. Genetically we are all HUMANS, and capable of reproduction with other humans.

Dogs have different 'breeds' but genetically they are all DOGS.

As we move about the planet, we have been mixing 'breeds' which is no big thing. Sometimes it's called the 'mogrelization' of the human race but so what? You don't create a 'new race' every time a caucasian and an oriental have a baby! The concept of race is totally ignorant.

A race would be like homo erectus vs homo sapiens or homo neandertalis...like SPECIES.

  3. I don't know, but I certainly hope so.  Racism is such a huge problem in the world, that maybe the only solution would be to create a world where racial divisions are not so obvious.  Maybe one day if we keep mixing it up, we really will just call ourselves the "Human" race because people will not be able to guess or judge our ancestry by looking at us.

  4. No matter which way we breed, we are still human, this cannot be changed. A flea cant become a fly or a bluebottle, or a blackbird a thrush. Just as a Chimpanzee cannot become a human being. I am all for evolution, but only within the lifetime of the species do we evolve.

  5. yea, i think its possible, considering we dnt really know where we came from,

the idea that 2 races could start off the evoultion of a new race is possible in the eyes of science, altho science changes like tha wind anyway, im sure the world was flat jus a lil while ago (according to science)

    ...good question

  6. Nope...same one... the human race.

  7. A new race would only emerge after thousands of years. First all the recessive genes have to disappear and you need enough time for the population to mix completely, else you have a constantly evolving mix of races.

If you lay out the racial traits in a line and then give weight to the strength of their genes you will see

    Black  8 Brown 4  Asian 2 White 1

It will only take about 2 generations after an asian/white mix before white looking offspring emerge assuming the mixed offspring reproduced with another white.  So I suspose you could count up all the people on earth and give their group a weighted value to determine the end result.

The first to disappear will be light colored eyes, hair, and skin.  Whites also have a unique hair texture that is also recessive. So any future race will exclude white traits first.  Then there will be only 3 races, then two then one. Basically, in nature only the most dominate traits will survive the test of time.

I suspect the future human race will resemble people from India. So the future is already here.

  8. Perhaps.

  9. Well, we sometimes mix animals to make new "breeds," I suppose genetically speaking it's the same. But it would probably take a long time for an exact mix to become an established, genetically thriving, group.

Perhaps "melting pot" countries will have a new face a couple thousand years from now, after enough thorough mixing. That is, assuming humans are still around.

  10. First we have to discuss: where do races come from. Long ago, 10s of thousands of years ago, different groups of people were isolated and developed into different races. Differences were caused by their environment that they were subjected to. This marrying within their own group caused strong genetic differences from the other groups. Over time these differences became dominant features.

Now a days we mingle together as with: trade and tourism. We may marry into other races but our genetic markers of DNA will show up the distribution of these races.

  11. no
