  1. Well, when my son was in preschool, the preschool teacher made a half-joke, that  the kids acted up a few days before the full moon.   Then she said she really wasn't kidding!

I noticed when I was a receptionist at a dentist office-----the cranky customers would "happen"  a few days before the full moon.

But I am totally convinced it does have a mild effect just from personal experience.

I tend to get a little emotional.

If the moon effects the tide-----human body contains a lot of water----why would it not effect us.    Just a thought.

But there was a study done with emergency rooms and apparently there was no increase in psychotic admissions during a full moon, so that would be another opinion.

  2. For an object that should not be in its position orbiting around Earth according to the laws of physics in the fist place I believe it can & does effect all life on Earth. Also, have you ever considered why the Moon always has the same side facing us at any given time ?

  3. No.  Not physically.

If people want to believe that it does then ofcourse it will.  If you think you will have trouble sleeping when there is a full moon then you probably will.   Or maybe they dont have curtains and the bright light of the full moon does stop them sleeping.

Despite how strongly people will believe that the moon effects people, it really doesnt.  It is entirely in their minds.

  4. As others have explained it is not possible for the moon to affect anyone physically.  But it is quite possible that many persons react psychologically when they see a full moon.  I have observed persons who seem to act crazier when there's a big, bright full moon visible in the sky.

  5. Bear in mind that the human female reproductive cycle is curiously similar (but not synchronised) to the lunar cycle.  Over the millions of years, we would have got used to periods of being able to see at night and periods when we could not.  It is inconceivable that the moon would have left us untouched!

  6. how?

  7. Are you kidding me, of course it does. I used to work in both a nursing home and group home and I kid you not, when ever there was a full moon, the people went crazy, lol

    True story.

  8. Well, the fact of the matter is that you and I and all the people who have read your question are indeed thinking about the moon. Why is it there, where did it come from, etc etc...therefore of course the moon affects our minds, but no more than anything else we think about. Why are WE here is another good one. That question probably causes more mind effects than anything else. Anyway I find it curious that we don't know why we are here, and anyone who says they do know, is wrong. They are not lying, because they believe they know, but nobody can possibly know the answer to that question!

  9. No.  People say there are more patients at casualty departments or admissions to mental hospitals but when the numbers are actually counted there is no difference.

  10. There is no way that any of the astronomical alignments can have any effect on us.  The amount of gravity difference is so slight you would could never feel it.  You generate much more force just by moving around.

  11. if by mind you mean brain then that may be possible, although i think we could not detect gravity and/or magnetism associated with it. if you mean by power of suggestion or belief that is possible too. if by stuff you mean the ocean that is proven. so after all that writing i'd say probably.
