Does the morning after pill change your regular cycle?

my girlfriend recently took the morning after pill and she got her period a couple days after taking it. this was irregular because it was in the middle of the month and she gets her regular periods around the first of each month. well my question is since she took this will it change her regular periods? for example shell start getting them around the 14th instead of the first? because its already the 3rd and im starting to get worried.

yeah its normal, it makes your period come faster to flush out the egg, its perfectly fine, next month she should get it around the middle of the month like this time.

Taking the morning after pill can really mess with periods. It will take time to sort out again.

I would recommend she see her doctor though. What is normal for most, may not be normal or ok for her. Err on the side of caution.

It can have an effect on disrupting the usual pattern depending on when in the cycle she took it to start with.  The pregnancy scare could also have been enough stress to set things out of kilter as well.  The body normally tries to return to the old pattern, so she may skip one cycle as well.  If she skips two cycles in a row, then she'll need to see the doctor.  You can set your minds at ease in the meantime with at home pregnancy tests.  In the meantime, you will just have to be patient.   Since her cycle was disrupted artificially, you will just have to wait to see what her body decides to do.  It may be this time will be delayed until next month when there is sufficient endometrium and ovulation to trigger the cycle.  Sorry, you just have to be patient.  All things come with some cost, after all.

dw about getting worried becuase if she got her period after she took the pill it means she isnt pregnant and yes it will change her cycle as it should come 4 weeks after she last got it
