I see so many people liking it, but whenever I see it, I just think of Addison's disease..........Anyone else feel that way? I know I wouldn't want to share my name with a disease!

  1. Sometimes

  2. Not really.  I didn't realise it was a disease until someone pointed it out to me (on Y!-A actually).

Makes me think of "addition" sometimes though.

  3. EWWWWW yes i think that too!!!

addison is a horrible name AND it is a male name too! makes it even worse for a poor young girl.

  4. defently not

    i love it

  5. Yes, and I don't like the name anyway. It's so masculine, I feel sorry for any little girl who has to live with that name!

  6. No it makes me think of Grey's Anatomy.

  7. No I think of the character that was on Grey Anatomy and now she's on Private Practice

  8. Mmm..NO. I think its a pretty name. Theres are TONS of diseases/illnesses that are also common names.

  9. No it doesn't remind me of a disease but heaps of names have bad connotations

  10. it makes me want to sneeze it is a disgusting name it makes me sick

  11. Well I didn't until you asked that but from now on I probably will. Addison is very trendy right now but in a few years it will go out of style.

  12. Yes it does. I also think it sounds like an ADHD drug Adderall. I loathe the name Addison. Also, if you look it up, it is listed as a boys name.

  13. Yes, I think of a disease, and I think of the fact that it's a masculine boy's name meaning Son of Adam. Don't see why anyone would be attractive to such a horrible name, especially for a poor little girl.

  14. I have never though of Addison and the disease. I think its a beautiful name

  15. Yes it does. I also think it is an horrible name for a girl.

  16. No it doesn't. It's actually my daughter's name. I first heard it on Grey's Anatomy, so that's where my Adisynn came from. & Yes I also wanted a bit more feminine look to it so I spelled it different...but it still looks the way it sounds. And to those out there who say it's a "boys" name... well my name is Kourtney & it was originally a "boys" name also. But guess what, I'm not traumatized b/c my name was spelled with a K instead of a C & who cares if there's a boy or two out there with my name. It can be our little connection :)

  17. I like it , My cousin is a huge Chicago cubs fan and he named his daughter Addison Clark after 2 of the streets outside of Wrigley Field , If he has a boy it would of been Clark Addison. I don't like clark so I'm glad it was a girl, they call her Addy.

  18. yes it does.

i also think of the addison wesley longman publishing company, from writing so many bibliographies at university. lol. its a ridiculous name.

    just use madison.

  19. No, not at all. Addison is quite pretty as a name. I wouldn't use it personally, but I don't associate it with the disease.
