  1. You must define the Kanji character for pronunciation Takezo in

    Rome-Ji for knowing what does it mean exactly.

    Actually name itself doesn't contain deep meaning usually though.


  2. Takezo was the birthname of Miyamoto Musahi one of the most famous swordsmen in Japan of all time who lived in the early to mid 17th Century. He wrote the classic the Book of 5 Rings. He changed his name when he decided to give up his wilder past and pursue the path of the true samurai.

  3. If taken from Musashi's original name, Takezo (which can be read either Takezou or Musashi) 武蔵 - it means 'Army/Brave Storehouse.' So basically can be taken as storehouse of military courage. ^_^
