Nature existed always and shall ever continue to exist; no matter weather we live or die.

The physical body structure of all those people; whom we know today as the respective god's in every religion of the world; are no more with us as on date; but nature continues to exist.

These people; not only came to know the secret and hidden knowledge of nature; the science, actions and activities, powers, qualities, and abilities of it; to drive the existance, presense and working of the creations of its own self  in the creations of itself; like none other till date;  but also learned, used,  practised and applied it as the religion of themselves to drive themselves to perform the actions and activities of it in themselves; for helping other creations.

Lord krishna in shreemad bhagwat gita goes on to the extent of saying the following; which proves his own knowledge and ability to be one with nature and to use to help the pandavas

Chapter 13. Nature, the Enjoyer, and Consciousness

Chapter 13, Verse 1-2.

Arjuna said: O my dear Krsna, I wish to know about prakrti [nature], purusa [the enjoyer], and the field and the knower of the field, and of knowledge and the end of knowledge. The Blessed Lord then said: This body, O son of Kunti, is called the field, and one who knows this body is called the knower of the field.

Chapter 13, Verse 3.

O scion of Bharata, you should understand that I am also the knower in all bodies, and to understand this body and its owner is called knowledge. That is My opinion.

Chapter 13, Verse 5.

That knowledge of the field of activities and of the knower of activities is described by various sages in various Vedic writings--especially in the Vedanta-sutra--and is presented with all reasoning as to cause and effect.
