I know this question may sound rediculous but on the archos website, the have a graphic showing that they have support for m4p files.

m4p files are the the protected aac files from the itunes store right? I can only find four explanations for this, 1) Apple and archos made a deal which I highly doubt because apple's itouch is a direct competitor against the archos products, 2) Archos has decided to hack apple's drm or partnered up with something like doubletwist ventures and is providing support for apple's proprietary format without their permission which I would find even more unlikely because that is highly illegal, 3) Archos just made a mistake on their website which is more likely or 4) I'm an idiot and don't know what i'm talking about.

  1. You can use a a DRM converter to convert the M4P to MP3 to put it on Archos and any other mp3 players:

Right click the file in iTunes and select "Show in Windows Explorer".

Free download this converter, drag and drop the protected files to it:

    http://www.wmatomp3-converter.com/digita...

It can convert the DRM protected music (WMA, M4P) to any other formats and extract audios from DRM video (WMV, M4V, ASF, etc).
