  1. you child might be givin the choice when he/she turns 18 to become an "official" citizen.

  2. do you have residency in Canada ?

Canadian citizenship is obtained by birth in Canada (other than as a child of a foreign diplomat), by birth abroad, when at least one parent is a Canadian citizen, or can be granted to a permanent resident who lives in Canada for three out of four years before applying for citizenship and is able to speak English or French. Time spent as a temporary resident before permanent residence is granted counts as half. Under special circumstances, the law allows for some requirements to be waived

no the child never can transfer his citizenship to his parents , only parents can do this .

  3. The child will get automatic citizenship.

The parents would need to live in Canada for a minumim of 3 years as Permanent Residents then apply for citizenship. I'm not too sure if you could get less time (for having a chilld or if you've lived there for a period of time) so you might want to ask around.

  4. Your baby will be Canadian as soon as he comes out to this world. (Technically, when the hospital staff completes his birth records & submits it.) Unfortunately, he can't pass on his citizenship to you. Aside from being Canadian upon birth, your baby has  whatever citizenship you have. Also, you will not be able to use your baby's citizenship to stay in Canada longer than was allowed you when you entered the country.**

  5. only God knows
