Does the new xbox 360 eleit still suffer the red ring of death or did microsoft fix it plz reply ???!!!?

does the xbox 360 still have the problems of the 3red rings for the new xbox 360 eleit.

From my understanding after doing some research, it does not.  I purchased an elite version last Summer and no problems so far.  The overheating issue was supposedly fixed with this model and for other 360 types also.
