Here's something from an article for example:

The region, a small area in the foothills of the Golan Heights, is considered Lebanese by the Lebanese government but the United Nations says it is Syrian land. Israel annexed the area in the 1967 Middle East war, a move not recognized by the international community.

I've never heard that statement before, except by those who lost the Six Day War and the few people who sympathize with those governments. That's hardly and international community. Right?

  1. It gives both sides of the story usually and it is not afraid of printing the untold truth.  Fro example Haaretz printed a story about the RingWorm Children of Israel in the 1950's when Israel irradiated thousands of Sephardic Jewish Children supposedly against Ringworm..  The newspaper was brave enough to report about Israeli Televisions presentation of the two hour documentary of "The Ringworm Children:  Several months ago the documentary was available for viewing on google videos on the internet but it has since been taken off for revealing the truth.

So at least Haaretz fullfils the purpose of a newspaper whichc is to inform the public of real news and issues in the least biased way possible.

  2. I like Haaretz, it reminds me of our country's newspapers that when the reporters see injustice they don't care who did it and write about it next day.

I believe it is a good a reliable source of information, but I won't hold my breath for too long! lol!

    bye bye

  3. Haaretz is trying to be a neutral media by reporting proportional news. I don't see anything wrong with the news. Israel did annex the Golan Heights from Syria, because the latter kept shelling Israel from the top of it.

By the way, I cannot see your link.

  4. Israel like most countries has newspapers that give various views.

Haaretz normally is anti zionist anti religious leftist paper.

The Jerusalem Post is a Center Right paper.

B'Sheva is a religious rightist paper

  5. "Does the newspaper Haaretz have a bias against Israel? "

    ABSOLUTELY!

    Sincerely,

    Ms. Miche ; })

  6. Golan Heights is Syrian and is annexed by Israel.  Peace process requires eventual return to Syria in return for nonaggression and peace.

  7. One thing I have to say on this issue, The Israeli media is far more professional than the USA . Haaretz and other may report negative news about the Israeli polices that none of USA Media outlets can or dare to report.

  8. No. Because it is fair and is not biased towards one side, the Israelis call it biased.

It tells the truth which the "zionists" are strictly against

  9. Haaretz is a leftist newspaper.

We don't have enough done to us by our enemy's so we produce our own.

  10. Every newspaper has a bias.

    Ha'aretz is left-wing, whereas Yediot is right-wing.

I wouldn't say Ha'aretz is anti-Israel; they have a pro-Palestinian stance, but that does not mean they are anti Israel.

From reading Ha'aretz in Hebrew and in English, I get the impression that they want justice for both sides.

  11. I have heard that it is,but Israel claims bias against them from many sources. That short paragraph is fact, not bias. Facts have no bias they are just simply facts. If one says that Europeans killed the natives it is fact, but someone may be offended because they "feel" differently.

  12. Haaretz is one Jewish Newspaper that tells the truth. Thumbs up in my opinion. Cheers!
