  1. yes unless the horse is leased by the trainer from the actual owner, in this case the trainer pays as they are leasing the horse.

  3. Absolutely not!.Overnight races are funded by the track's handle (money wagered). The only exception being a Stakes Race.

  5. Yes the owner or the syndicate that owns the horse pays the entry fee for the races the horse runs.

  6. The Steward is most correct.  Stake/Handicap races are the only ones that are charged a fee to enter.

  7. Yes there is a nomination fee then an acceptance fee for the owner to pay
