I am going to college starting this school year, and I gained $2365 from the federal pell grand, and I was wondering if it continues on throughout the rest of my schooling.

  1. You must update your FAFSA every year that you apply for financial aid.

Based on the information you provide, the Department of Education will recalculate your EFC (expected family contribution) each year. So long as your EFC remains below the qualification cutoff for the Pell Grant, you will receive a Pell Grant every year - so long as you are an undergraduate student who has not completed a bachelor's degree.

The cutoff this year was 4041 - that number can change from one year to the next.

I hope this helped - good luck!
