Does the petco in riverhead?

does the petco in riverhead ny sell teddy bear hamsters?

I dont want a dwarf hammy, or a black bear because i have had black bear previously and want a change

If not what types do they sell?

would this be a good habitat for a teddy bear ham ham?- i would probably put an atattchment on it for liek te exercise wheel and stuff

I'm guessing they do - most chain pet stores do. If I were you, though, I wouldn't buy from Petco, because it's supporting them.

See, they sell puppies, which they get from puppy mills:

And buying from them just allows puppy mill owners to purchase and breed more dogs. It's okay if you buy from it, though, if there's no alternatives. Don't feel guilty about it or anything - just letting you know.

I don't know for sure about Riverhead but I'm will to bet they would. Every petco I've seen does for about $7-$15. They probably wont be too well tamed though so prepare to work and be bitten many times to gain their companionship, just saying because I know a lot of people get hamsters not full grasping the amount of coaxing one needs. I don't know what cage your talking about but I know if your talking about a crittertrail or habitrail [naming those 2 because they are most popular] then you'll have to combine 2.

You could always check the phone book and call ahead to see when they will have them in the store, and make a trip then. :]

black bear and teddy bear are the same thing  they are all names for syrian hamsters.
