Everyone relates to a particular poem and feel it 'represents' their own philosophy or emotions. Has yours changed over the years?

  1. An interesting question!  I think I continue to relate to poems I've found relevant at earlier times in my life, but I have found relative many poems and lyrics as the weave and textures of my life evolve.  A constant in my life has been Frost's "The Road Not Taken," which I think is probably true of most creative types.  But there have been other poems, such as the one ending," this is the way the world ends, this is the way the world ends, this is the way the world ends, not with a bang, but a whisper," which seemed to speak deeply to sadness felt.  And there were a number of Sylvia Plath's poems which seemed to express pieces of myself.  But ultimately, isn't that why we create our own word images and thus, the poetry of our lives?
