Does the pregnancy of Bristol Palin represent the epitome of failure in regards to abstinence-only education?

Any bets that if mom or dad had handed Bristol a pack of condoms, fully describing what they are meant to protect against, that she probably wouldn't be pregnant right now.

  1. If that were the case, then you would have to say that a pregnancy resulting from someone on the pill or someone using a condom would imply the same about s*x education.

You can have all the knowledge in the world stuck in your brain when it comes to prevention, and be using multiple forms of birth control... and still get pregnant.

    Nothing is 100% except abstinence.

That being said... I still think s*x education should be taught in schools, with the inclusion of all forms of birth control including abstinence.

  2. Neither mom or dad would have done that.  They are "Pro Life" Condoms and birth control are both no-no's.  She should have "swallowed" then there would have been no problem.

  3.   Levi is macho and likes to ride bareback.  That is if he is the father.  There should be a paternity test.  It shows Sarah and Todd Palin have no meaningful communication with their children.  Any sexually active teenager should be on the pill.

  4. Maybe we should quit telling people about  sexual transmitted disease

Better yet maybe we should just quit talking about everything.

  5. it's all about family values.

the republicans talk a good game and play a very very lousy game

    LOL

  6. We do not know.

It is a fallicy to look at this one case as the epitome of anything.

16 yr olds can learn from other sources than school or home.  She might have done everything right, but the condom broke.  She might have managed to get on the pill, but didn't realize antibiotics weaken the pill.

She might have been trying to abstain but had an impulsive moment.

    We do  not know.

Without knowing, perhaps we should talk in more general term.

There I agree.  Kids should be encouraged to abstain, but be educated on birth control & "safe s*x."

  7. Lets see,

We teach our kids to not P***k around

We teach our kids to not drink

We teach our kids to not do dope

We teach our kids to not drive like an idiot.

    Our kids get knocked up

    Our kids get drunk

    Our kids get stoned

    Our kids have wrecks.

Teach a kid its OK to P***k around, "Just use a condom" Horsechit is LUDICROUS!

What part of DON'T P***k AROUND is so hard to understand?

obama's and other disgusting wretched subhumans (AKA liberals)solution is baby murder!

Parents, If your worried about your brat teen w***e is going to get knocked up, GET HER an IUD, a DEPRO-PREVARA shot etc.

Don't rely on a Rubber or the Pill.

Rubbers are rarely used and Pills aren't taken properly.

  8. Sarah Palin and her husband just figure that if their daughter does get pregnant, she just won't get an abortion, will have the child and will get married - all at the ripe old age of maturity - SEVENTEEN (17) years old!  This is as irresponsible as it comes.

  9. They've always know it doesn't work.

The problem is they don't care.

  10. Oh, and I suppose that the only teen pregnancies are from the abstinent group.  Condoms are not fail safe. you should have learned that in your class.  Also, the teen pregnancy rate sky-rocketed as well as STD"s once s*x education was introduced into the schools.
