  2. Short answer NO.  

    Very few plants depend on birds for pollination.  

    Seeds are already fertile, the result of pollination.  Birds are important in the spreading of seeds to new areas.

    Bananas, however have such small seeds that most growth is via the root system, fruit production depends primarily on pollination by insects or wind.  Much of what we eat depends of bees for pollination, other insects contribute, but bees do the majority of the work for plants that do not depend of the wind for pollination.
