Does the protectant in an automatic car wash work?

The car wash I go to sells Simoniz DuraGlaze, which it says has UV protectants in it.. They say it lasts for 30 days. If I get it every month, will it protect my car as well as hand-waxing every 3 months?

  1. I never trust those advertising. I personly would wash the car myself. If I missed a spot on my car I could always go back and fix it. But with a car wash, if they missed a spot you don't feel satisfied.

  2. It's usually a gimmick !  If you hand wax it every 3 months? You are wasting your money ! Sounds like your doing enough to protect your car's finish. Blue ice is a good product for in between paste waxes.  Good luck !!

  3. no not as good as hand waxing but it's better than nothing, I use it in the winter when it's too cold to wax my vehicles.
