  1. As long as its round its gold. Good/pure shooters are focused on making shots not the condition of the ball.

  2. I would have to say no, its all a matter of adapting and overcoming it once you get a feel for the ball.  Not every ball is to everyones liking, but than if I decided I wasn't going to play simply because I didn't like the ball than I wouldn't be as good as I am.

  3. Yes, but you can love basketball so much that you put up with it and play with that ball for 10 weeks and get so pissed that it is so bouncy that you must not have the ball have contact with the rim just to make it in.

  4. What up Dirk 4119,

It's kind of a Yes and No.  There are some balls that are better than others- but a good shooter will usually be able to adjust.  Now you do have to qualify the statement- because does quality matter- well only if the basketball is not a terribly beatup, flat, etc. basketball.

i mean a shooter should be a shooter, and say you're playing pick up at a park- you should be able to adjust to a ball as long as it's a decent ball that is in playing shape.  A good shooter should be able to adjust--- given enough time to adjust to the weight, and feel of the ball.
