I've read the manual it it basically says the "reset all" resets values to their default settings. As if I couldn't have figured that out myself. Sheesh.

I don't want to reset the picture count. I want to try the reset to see if it will eliminate one stuck pixel on the LCD. The pixel only shows up in shooting mode and not display mode.

  1. Reset all will reset the picture counter.  I am not sure if that will solve your stuck pixel problem. It's unusual that it only shows up in shooting mode and not display mode.

I would contact Canon support and ask them if there is anything you can do to make it go away.

  2. That's a good question... Reset all SHOULDN'T reset the picture count...That should only happen when you create a new folder within the camera... But can't guarantee anything...

How new is the camera?  If you just got it and the pixel is really bothering you, get it replaced, but if that IS part of LCD screens, pixels sometimes go bad even on brand new screens...

Great choice of camera! I have the 570.
