Does the "double height at 2" prediction for adult height really work?

I'm about 14 1/2, i'm a girl, i weigh 120 pounds, shoe size 8. I'm currently 5'6". I've always been a little tall for my age. I was 35" when i was two, so will that mean i will be 5'10"?

  1. You probably won't grow more than 2" after you get your period.

  2. not all the time i was predicted to be 6'4" or taller but im only 5'7" and stopped growing, turns out i just had an early growth spurt. every person is unique so using a genral rule is not going to apply to absolutely everyone

  3. It may or may not. It's not exact, and it's generally more accurate for boys, though never perfect. One thing that usually is a good way to tell if you're going to grow much more is to look at how long you've had your period. Almost all girls are done growing within 2 years of their first one, so if you're closing in on the 2 year mark, you are probably almost done.
