The end of that Lunatic and war mongering Bush's presidency and the Demorcrates making it to the Whitehouse.

In any event I hope we can be governed from Downing St and not the good old USA.

It is bad enough that the EEC stick there sticky Beaks into all that we do.

  1. 600,000 russians couldnt beat the taliban in 1988 how are 44,000 nato troops now, going to defeat them???

bring UK troops back from Afghanistan now!

  2. With respect to your boys it is very hard to beat an unseen enemy who use their women and children to assist them in every way. GWB is a war monger , like his father before him. Get your troops out and see what happens!......................Up the **** today and good result(without the bloomer) for ye in Europe. Respect.

  3. US troops are going to be in Iraq for the foreseeable future, that is a given. The US military has wanted a military presence in the Gulf states for a long time, and now they have it....18 years now.

The UK on the other hand, can withdraw their troops out at will now, our job is done.

Afghanistan is a different matter, the UK has made a commitment here, I agree that it is futile, but a commitment all the same.

My opinion is that our troops should withdraw to a safe point and let the Air Force use missiles to blow them into oblivion! use bio-degradable defoliants to wipe out the heroin crop so that, (what I believe is the real reason for our involvement)

the Taliban lose their source of income, and put an end to the worlds largest producer of heroin.

It is more than time that the UK took matters into their own hands, instead of being dictated to by non UK nationals!

  4. I think the return of our troops depends on whether they get the job finished.
