Does the ride Raging Racer go into a deep pool in the end?

In the ride Raging Racer in the water park Raging Waters do you end up in a deep pool after the slide? Because i'm scared i'm going to drown! and if you do end up in a deep pool, do the things you slide on work as floatation devices?
