Why slum when you can go first class?

On the other hand, having people stare at you all night, can't make for a normal human experience either.   Who wants to be paraded around like some sort of exotic  rarefied freak of culture?

Don't think so. But, they attend enough gala events, tours, etc. All involve formal dinners out.

Besides, I betcha they have more than one really good chef at home.

Yes. Prince Andrew along with his two daughters, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, and his ex-wife Sarah, Duchess of York occasionally dines at one of the fancy restaurants in London, UK. A few months back, Prince William enjoyed a family dinner at a London restaurant with his stepmother and her two children.

The foursome ate in Scott's, a fashionable Mayfair restaurant on Friday. William's uncle, Prince Andrew the Duke of York, his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, and their two daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, were dining in nearby Cipriani's at the same time, accompanied by Princess Beatrice's boyfriend.

Yes,it has happened. Once, Queen Elizabeth,The Queen Mother went to a restaurant and ordered a Dubonnet;the restaurant didn't carry the item,so they sent one of the workers scurrying to a liquor store to buy a bottle for her.The Duke of York,Prince Andrew has been spotted dining out with his daughters and ex-wife, Sarah. The late Princess of Wales, Diana, and her sons frequented many. Her boys still do.I don't think Queen Elizabeth II goes to many restaurants,though.
