If the there is a runner on third with 2 outs with the home team up in the last inning and they were down by one run and the batter bunted and the runner on third got to home before the out at first was made does the run count?

  1. My best guess would be that the run does not count, but im not 100% sure on that.

  2. Absolutely not. Now if there is an error and he gets thrown out at second or something like that, then it would count. But the run definitely doesn't count upon the timing of the play. If he is out at first, run doesn't count. Nice work, tell your uncle whats up! :)

  3. It does not count. No runs can score on a force play to end the inning.

  4. NO!

If the 3rd out is made as any force out, then no runs can score on that play, even if the runner touched the plate before the out was made.

Hold on a second, I'm looking up the rule right now, I'll get you a link.

    See rule 4.09a

  5. The run does not count.  The batter has to reach first base safely.  Whether it's a bunt or a grounder to short, if the batter is thrown out at first, it makes no difference how many runners have tagged home.  If the ball was thrown away and the runner tried to reach second and was thrown out, the run would then count if he touched home before the batter was retired at second.

  6. nope

  7. Since the final out of the inning was the result of a force out, the run does not count.

  8. The run does not count.

  9. no ur right

  10. Nope.  Game over.  Runner does not score.

  11. No, because the batter must get to first or the inning is over.  Now if the hit was to the outfield and the batter tried to stretch it to a double and was tagged out at second, the run would score.

  12. Run does not count.  The batter must make it to first on a play like this.  No matter what.

  13. no it doesnt couunt

  14. Be more specific, if the runner from 3rd hits home before the runner on first gets TAGGED out, the run counts. If the out at first is FORCED out, then the run does not count.

  15. No.

Now if the first baseman missed the ball but recovered in time to throw the batter who bunted out at second or third, the run would have counted.  But since the batter was thrown out at first and that was the last out of the inning, the run does not count.

  16. Nope
