Does the sat subject test that you take have to do with your major?

i want to major in journalism but i heard the sat subject test for literature is hard. i was going to take the sat subject test for math 2 and u.s. history. is that okay?

You can take whatever subject tests you want.  They do not have to reflect your future major at all.  They  just help to show the colleges your level of mastery in whatever subjects you have taken in school.
