  1. By UFO I suppose you are implying alien technology.  I believe the vast majority of scientists are highly skeptical that we have been witness to any alien technology or presence.  I also believe that the ones who would be the most skeptical are the ones who are the closest to the search for extraterrestrial intelligence.  They would have found credible evidence by now if such things existed.

I think most scientists believe the UFO phenomenon is a lunatic fantasy, but generally, they use nicer terms to describe it.

  2. I think any reasonable scientist would agree that people have seen flying objects which have not been publicly identified. Whether these UFOs are alien spaceships, terrorist aircraft, witches, angels, ghosts, or even just clouds or weather balloons is still debated, although I think most scientists would side with the 'clouds or weather balloons' viewpoint.

  3. New World Order vehicles. Some scientists KNOW they are not of alien origin since they have been forced to help build these for the antichrist in many DUMBs (deep underground military bases) around the world. Others are sure because the only reasonable solution to the Fermi Paradox is that we are the only show in the town:

If you just have to believe in ET, they have something special in store for you: "Project Bluebeam"

"Aliens" just in time for 2012! Many will be fooled...

    JUST DO NOT ACCEPT THIS:

Later, ask yourself how we all knew this ahead of time...

  4. once identified, they are no longer UFO's.

Just because someone---anyone---sees something that they cant tell what it is---unidentified---that does not mean that we are under attack by aliens or terrorists.

Terrorist attacks have one thing in common---the terrorists want the fame saying that they did something cowardly to fight for their distorted and demented cause.  They are braggarts.

  5. scientific community relies on facts. until they have proven facts they wont be in unanimous agreement that yes UFOs do exist. However , there are many scientists that do believe in them.

  6. If I see something flying in the air or space, and I don't know what it is, then it IS an UNIDENTIFIED Flying Object.

Things like airplanes and satellites and hot air ballons leave distinctive "radar signatures".  I mean, a trained radar operator can tell the difference between an air attack, a heat mirage, and a flock of birds, without every seeing the object itself.  These people are VERY skilled -- that's why we have these young men and women defending our country.

The correct question to ask is "Where did the object come from?", and THAT implies that there may be aliens.  But most sightings are quickly identified as other aircraft, weather balloons, meteors, or even weather phenomenon like ball lightning..

And most UFOs are ultimately identified because someone actually SEES them, AND someone else sees them on radar. Between two people, someone can identify the obejct, and it is no longer UNidentified.

What would be really strange is is a pilot saw a large circular object just hovering in the air (no blades - its not a helicoper) but there is NO radar signature.

    But that hasn't happened.

One persons may see something he or she can't identify.  This in fact happens every day.  But for two or three or more people to see it and it is STILL unidentifed is very very rare.

The scientific community takes UFOs very seriously, but in almost all cases the object doesn't remain UNidentified for very long.

UFO's whose source is unidentifed (like from another planet) have never been proven to exist. Those peole who claim to have seen aliens are viewed as lunatics.

  7. Of course unidentified things exist, and always will.  And most scientists are fascinated with the unknown.

However, most scientists are also fascinated with the truth and the most reasonable explanation for the unknown, and not flights of fancy supported by zero evidence.  So the idea that UFO's are alien ships is a fantasy since there's no credible evidence to support that.

Some people will say scientists are just in denial about it, but that's stupid.  I don't know a single scientist or scientifically-minded person who wouldn't LOVE to have proof of alien life, be it an intelligently guided space ship or just a microbe.  Myself included.  But we're not going to just make the jump to believing that without the evidence.  If we did, we wouldn't be scientists.

If and when real evidence of alien life is uncovered, you won't find anyone who's more excited about it than the scientists.

  8. Don't expect scientists to prove or disprove UFOs.  They wouldn't believe that UFOs exist until one landed in their back yard, in spite of an overwhelming amount of evidence that they do.  Even if one landed in their yard, they would say, "I guess Spielberg faked this."

Of course by definition a UFO is proven if seen.  UNIDENTIFIED flying object.

Gary B  "What would be really strange is is a pilot saw a large circular object just hovering in the air (no blades - its not a helicoper) but there is NO radar signature.

    But that hasn't happened."

Oh, yes it has.  Pilots, both civilian and military have seen many objects within plain sight and no radar contact is made on the ground.  Try to be more informative.  Calling people lunatics is not very informative, scientific or acceptable on YA.  I may have to report you.  LOL

  9. It is mathamatically impossible for there not to be life out there.
