  1. No....Why?

  2. i dont think so

  3. depends on the state, but i've never heard of that and i work in the auto industry.

  4. No. Maybe you should have had a spare key made before you lost the only one.

  5. NO

  6. You need to supply the buyer with all known keys to the vehicle to prevent theft or fraud. However, it is not a written law I believe.

I've purchaced many vehicles from private sellers and I've just upgraded and put an alarm on the vehicle to make sure that they cannot steal it.

  7. no they don't have to, not in the state I'm in.  You can request that when you are buying the car, but they will usually add that to the deal, might possible charge you for it too.

  8. The seller is just responsible for giving you one key or whatever the seller has.................

  9. no....they dont even have to give you four wheels by law....with a used car once theyre honest about is roadworthness and any problems and you agree to purchous however much of a car it is, they have abided to the law....the only laws involve selling it under false pretences...so if he told you he would give you 2 keys, you should have gotten 2 keys, otherwise, since it dosent put you and passengers in danger its not illegal...

one thing would be if he is keeping a key for himself...that would be in a gray area....

  10. I would say no, I have bought a lot of used cars and a lot of times that is the only set they have.

  11. No, they don't even have to give you one key. Your getting what you pay for, it is part of the agreement between the buyer and the seller before the exchange of money as to what you are buying.

AS-IS is what you will read a lot of time. There are no warrenties on an older buyer, but it could be agreed in the purchase to warranty a vehicle for a pre-determined amount of time or mileage after the sale.

And it is not illegal to sell an unsafe or undriveable vehicle. I could sell a perfectly good running car that didn't have any brakes. Not safe to drive, but I can sell it.

  12. I've never heard of such a law in Georgia. You give them what you have.
