Question:

Does the shape of your cornea change back to normal after the pill?

I think the shape of my cornea might have changed when I was on the pill (I stopped taking it last September). I got my eyes tested last December and the optician said that the shape of some part of my eye (i can't remember what she said exactly) was different to most peoples. I recently found out that the contraceptive pill can change the shape of the cornea, which may have been the reason for my eye being different at the time.

Now that I've been off the pill for 9 months is there a chance my cornea will return to the normal shape? And if so will I be able to wear contact lenses again?

  1. I am pretty sure that contraceptives do not alter the shape of the cornea.

It may result in secondary dry eye but not change the cornea shape.

The variation in you eyesight is probably due to the hormonal changes.

Yes, I believe you can wear contacts again

    Hope this helps
