Does the shiny side of foil paper face out or in on window?

face out, the shiny side reflects the sunrays back outside, stopping them frm gettng into ur house

check around..they may sell window shades that are made for this.

Shiny side goes out, but if you want the same effect and still get light in, Home Depot and Lowes sell a window film that is UV filtering and reflective that you can still see through.  It has made a HUGE difference in my house.  It's kind of like sunglasses for your home.

I believe the shiny side should face out, face the sun.
