I am getting on the shot Tuesday. And I am wondering if the shot clears up acne in a few months? My aunt is coming home in November and I want my acne to clear up.

  1. im not to sure about that i have been getting depo for about 4 years and i still break out here and there.

  2. I'm on a BC pill, and it cleared my acne up rather quickly. I had terrible pimples and never thought they were go away, i even thought some would scar. But the birth control really helped.

i'm not a doctor, and i can't assume what happened to me will happen to everyone, but the likelihood of it not occurring to you is slim.

  3. most of the time but in my case it made it worse

  4. everybodys different. in most cases, yes

  5. don't get the shot!  everyone i know that has gotten it, including myself, has had bad experiences.

  6. Some of it actually CAUSES acne, so be careful...

  7. I have never heard of the depo shot clearing up acne.  I can tell you from personal experience it causes weight gain.  For me I put on about 50 lbs.  I was in my early 40's and once I was off of it, within 4 months I was pregnant (spouse and I were trying), doctor said if I was trying that the first six months following the ending of the shot would be our best time and she was right.  I can however tell you of a sure remedy for the acne and it really does work.

Get you at any drug store or Walmart a bottle of Vitamin A and a bottle of Vitamin E and take one of each of them twice a day.  Within a few weeks you should see great results.  I had a father in law that was into vitamins and health foods.  My boss at an old job had terrible acne and redness and underwent a lot of painful treatments with a dermatologist.  My father in law told her about the vitamins and it not only cleared up her acne and improved her skin tone, but made a big believer in her doctor about the use of vitamins.  Best wishes, hope this helps sweetie.

  8. For me no. It made me have my period for six months straight, I was moody and irritable... as you can imagine... it was terrible.  Avoid the shot.
