  1. diets never work!

do it the right way! pills and what not are a bunch of nothing.

eat right, heathy, proper servings and at least 1 hr of exercise each day.

  2. It does work, but I like to call it the slim slow diet.  If you can manage to drink one for breakfast and one for lunch and eat normal dinners with out much snacking or only fruit then it works well.  If you can stay busy and not think about eating or that you are hungry.  I did lose about 40 lbs when I did it full out!

  3. Any calorie restricted diet will almost always result in weight loss if you really stick to it!

Trouble with Slimfast is, I think, those milkshakes aren't very filling.  So unless you can ignore your stomach not feeling satisfied for a while, until you get used to it, I think it can be hard going.

I personally think your money is better spent on joining a slimming "club" such as Weightwatchers.  You eat real food, almost anything really as long as you check the "points value" and count it into your daily points allowance.

You can really fill your stomach when on Weightwatchers, and still lose weight.

Almost every vegetable is points free.  So you can make pots of soup, Ratattouille (as long as you fry nothing), vegetable curries, dips, eat gigantic salads (dressed with lemon/lime juice/vinegar of choice/fat free dressing) and all of these are fine to eat as much as you want of!

And believe me, it works.  It takes far less discipline when your tummy isn't rumbling!

I had McDonalds stuff (hard to avoid sometimes with young children) and went to a barbecue during my first week.....I LOST FIVE WHOLE POUNDS!

I am not very disciplined and didn't "give up" anything.

It's not a miracle diet or anything, but the weekly weigh in (confidential) and support at the meeting really go a very long way.

I won't include a link on this bit, unsure of the rules!  But if you search on the net you will find them.

And it doesn't matter whether you are just slightly overweight or morbidly obese.  You will see people of all sizes at the meeting.

So if you genuinely have some weight to lose, (rather than being within your ideal BMI and wanting to shed 5lb) then have a look on their website (or one of the other slimming clubs) and if you join you are VERY unlikely to regret it.

Enough of my rant!  Good luck x*x

  4. it only works because all you can eat is 2 shakes and a "sensible dinner"..if all you eat is 2 light meals and a "sensible dinner", you will lose weight, slim fast is mostly just a marketing gimmic

  5. It works under the following conditions:  you don't have a massive amount of weight to lose, you are too busy to engage in impulse eating, you enjoy the taste of the products and fruit, and you follow the rules.

  6. Any diet will work if you stick to it and exercise at the same time.

  7. not really....ud be better off eating a lean cuisine meal for lunch or dinner..same amount of calories and you wont be in the bathroom with the runs...

  8. well not to be gross but slim fast gave me diarrhea when I drank it, so I lost some weight pooping
