Does the smooth-shiny side of a satin flat sheet go up or down?

Just bought a satin sheet set. The flat sheet has a shiny and smooth side, but the other side is dull and not as soft. Which side goes up and which side goes down?

The smooth side goes down.  This way, when You fold the top over the blanket, the shiny side will show! Also it feels better on Your skin!

The side that is going to touch your skin is the shiny side so that is the side that should go down.

Notice the exposed stitching on one side only.

That side goes down then notice which side is which

The shiny side is the side that your body touches.

Make the bed with the shiny, smooth side towards the bed.  Then when you fold over the top six inches, the shiny part shows.  Also, you'll be between the shiny bottom sheet and the shiny side of the top sheet as you are meant to be.
