I don't know where the idea that certain cameras only work with certain OS's but you can forget about it.

What does work on certain OS's is the software that comes with the camera ... any old OS like Windows ME or Mac X (original) may not run the provided software, but the computer will always see and display JPEG images you download from your memory card.
