  1. Hamsters come from the wild where they are used to living with different sounds and their only reaction to the multitude of sounds would be to burrow deeper and sleep. They only react when the sound is also accompanied with a scent that scares them.

The tv in the bedroom is similar since the sounds would only make them burrow deeper into their bedding and go to sleep. Just ensure that you provide your hamster with thick bedding so he has no restraint for burrowing as he wishes.

I have a colony of hamsters in my living room and they are so used to the tv sounds that they can sleep through any kind of sounds and I have not seen a hamster yet that is bothered or unnerved by the noises.

  2. At first, the noise my bother bother him/her, just like the first few nights his wheel probably bothered you. But as time goes by they get use to it and adapt. My dwarf is in my room, and I have my stereo going a lot, and that noise doesn't bother him.

  3. Our little Dalmation hamster Poppy seems oblivious to all noise from TV and so forth. She just plays when she wants to play and sleeps when she's ready for a nap.

We had a dwarf hamster and he was the same way..

Hamsters aren't  bothered by noises like that. The hamsters I have had weren't even bothered by our dogs barking. We have three dogs and two of them bark when someone comes to the door and it hasn't bothered any of our previous hamsters one bit and the same goes for Poppy.

    Enjoy your little friend! =)

  4. No. My hamster's cage is very close to the TV. I turn on the TV alot. And my hamster doesn't get scared at all. BUt your hamster will get a bit hyper if you play an instrument. I play the piano and my hamster gets crazy.

    Hope this helps.

  5. No, i have a hamster, and i use my tv all the time

  6. Your hamster will adapt pretty easily to the normal noises of your house. I wouldn't place the cage directly in front of a speaker or keep it in a room where the tv or music was BLASTING, but at noise levels your parents aren't telling you to turn down, your pet will be fine.

A good rule of thumb, if mom is in the room and thinks the tv is too loud, its probably to loud for your pet.

  7. NO

    It doesnt

  8. Nope. Not at all. Enjoy.

  9. Why are you playing xbox when you can watch a hamster running on its wheel and explore your room? but anywho,

my hammy loves to listen to eye of the tiger and watch tv with me, so i dont think it would disturb him, but mabey during his sleep it might.
