Does the sound quality differ from a Digital Optical Audio Cable and a Digital Coaxial Audio Cable?

I only have 1 digital optical out on my receiver but I need to hook up my DVD player and my HD DVR. My DVD has both Coaxial and Optical but the HD DVR only has Optical. Will the sound be noticably less with the Coaxial Digital as opposed to the Optical Digital?
