  1. It seems to cause constipation more often than not. We have to give our daughter 2 oz of prune juice daily and that still doesn't help a whole lot.

  2. it might. my daughter was on soy since she was 3 months old and ever since she started on the stage 3 baby food she's been constipated. i tried everything even giving her karo syrup and still didn't help. i didn't do the prune juice yet. i don't want to switch her to another formula because she'll be turning one in a few months so she'll be on cow's milk. her doctor suggested giving ready to feed soy. i haven't tried that yet but i probably will. hope that helps!

  3. My daughter was constipated at first when we switched her to soy formula, but I don't think it was the formula that caused it. I think when we switched her from one brand to another it made her constipated. It only lasted 3 days and then she was back to normal.

  4. It does, for some babies. It did for mine, at least.

  5. Switching formulas can cause constipation (it's always good to be gradual with switching), but that was a reason why I switched her to the soy. Constipation. But after a few days, it actually helped my baby's bowel movements. But it always depends on the baby. If the baby has been on soy for more than two weeks, and is still constipated, it may not be formula causing it, or the formula just isn't right for them.

  6. Depends on the baby. Sometimes the switching process can cause it, not necessarily the formula. It's a good idea to do a gradual transition with formula.

  7. It does in mine.

  8. Yes, it certainly can.  Any formula can - it depends on the kid drinking it.
