Does the sperm 'die' when it hits the air?

Cause thats what i hear, and i just want to make sure. Then if it just seeps out and slowly drips in on its own? Just curious.

Well sperm are actually swimming around in seminal fluid... the fluid is what drips down your leg... and the sperm are alive in that seminal fluid... when the seminal fluid is dry, then there can be no sperm living.

To get a sperm and make it come into contact with the air, you have to remove it from the seminal fluid or wait until the seminal fluid dries.... you can be certain that the sperm are dead in those circumstances.

Sperm has a maximum potency period of around 28 hours, but it rarely lives that long outside the body due to temperature

No, it absolutely does not.  It remains motile for a minimum of 2 minutes (thus turkey baster babies - a simple method of artificial insemination with a friends sperm for lesbians -- not an insult btw - I'm g*y, its commonly used) .  It may remain alive for longer than that -- but that's about the minimum.
