anthropology is sometimes said to deal with the study of bones and wants to know the real meaning of it. it is said that it is the study of humanity. is it also true?

  1. Yes, because all that remains of the humanity from the past, is their bones...

    It's much like the work of a forensic detective!


  2. Anthropology is the study of man. Some anthropologists study bones to learn more about past cultures, some are physical anthropologists, and some are primatologists. but not all fields of anthropology study bones. Hope that helps clarify a little.

  3. Anthropolgy is the study of cultures. Alot of the time it focuses on artifacts, and what they can tell you about the past.

  4. There are different branches of anthropology -- one deals with cultures existing today; another deals with early human cultures. That second one does study bones, but they also study other things, like homes, pottery, and other stuff people long ago left lying around.
