Does the sun cause permanent acne scars?

i heard sun causes hyper pigmentation to scars. Does this mean that if you are out in the sun for a long time your scars will never heal or does it just take longer to heal?

From what I have read about acne, moderate sun exposure should help rather than hinder the healing.  Be careful of any sun exposure, but I don't think the sun will make a huge difference.

actually the sun gives your skin vitamins to help repair your scars. the sun fades acne scars

well i have acne and i get alot of sun but ive never scared

it will for a little bit, so ur right it will take a little longer. but thee sun has to hit it just right for a long time!!! best answer?

i dont know, im as adrk as anything from the sun and i have some scars, some i had for a few years, but compared to people that say theyre tan, they look like ghosts, im SERIOUSLY dark, so i  believe thats only true in the more "serious" cases
