  1. that doesn't offend me at all. If your gonna be acting like a tree hugger then that's what you deserve to be called.

  2. Doesn't offend me but what can I say I love eating good steaks fresh off the grill. Awesome...

  3. It's not offensive- it's ignorant.  Anyone who calls someone else names should take a good, long look at themselves.  People who have a need to lump others into categories are afraid of something, sooo, feel bad for them.  The old adage , "Sticks and stones..." still applies.

In this case, it's frightened Republicans attempting to rile up and rally people who have a very narrow scope of perspective or exposure to anything larger than their little world in order to gain some support.  Maybe if they focused even a modicum of their attention towards addressing real issues, the mess that the country is in might start improving.

Hey, I don't eat meat, so I might as well hug a few trees while I'm foraging the woods for nuts and berries, right? LOL!

  4. It implies that the person takes the environmental concerns to an extreme, and it's supposed to have a negative connotation, but it doesn't offend me.

  5. I Love Trees... and all of us need to be trying to protect our Natural Resources.

  6. It doesn't offend me, except that generally the people who use the term intend it to be offensive.  It's kind of like calling a g*y man a 'fairy'.  Technically there's nothing really bad about a fairy - heck, they're magical and can fly around.  That's kinda cool.  But the intent is to call them sissies in a derogatory manner.

Tree hugger is basically the same thing.  I don't know anyone who hugs trees, and if they did there's nothing negative about that.  But the intent behind the term is derogatory, so that's why it might be considered offensive.

  7. I don't consider it offensive... if people wanna have tree s*x, so be it. LET them have tree s*x.

  8. Hm-mm law enforcement and Federal agents consider most "tree huggers" to be criminals and most of them are searched and upon  finding  "drugs" are arrested. These people are reformed through a probation and or prison process. Most are charged with small things that add up and they are also flights to other states. In the end they hide out in Oregon or something and are not very active.  If people really wanted to help the earth they would amend the laws used to arrest "tree huggers" until then freedom is only for people who work 9-5 and pretend to be activists.

  9. nah... it does seem a little mean to the trees though.....

  10. when i was a little kid and i felt sick or very bad ,I used to go to a big tree in the woods and curl up between the roots to feel better .

does that make me a tree hugger

    so be it.

Then I relize bigger house are more important.More cars.More Polution.More Energy Use.

  13. I'm not really fond of tree huggers.  I mean, I'm glad your're trying to help the environment and all, but Christ is coming back for all of those that are saved and this world is going to be destroyed.  So lets get every little bit out of it!

  14. I prefer the term "econazi".

  15. It shouldn't because you are helping the Earth.
