  1. at your age and obviously development I'd say hit any ball you want to....it won't really make a big difference.

  2. No. One day you might play well enough to notice a difference but for most average golfers, no. I"m a 12 and really have only noticed the difference in "feel" around  and on the green.

  3. At your level, the ball you use doesn't make as big as a difference as it does for a lower handicapper.  The better golfer you are, the more advantages you will see in a ball like a prov1.  At your age, distance is probably a big factor for you.  So if you use a harder covered distance ball, you will probably see more benefit because you may be able to hit it 10 yards or so further which will help you get to greens in regulation more often.  Hope it helps

  4. At your level of skill use anything but rocks. You can use any good ball that is found. In fact you may even have better scoring with the Lady Precept or  lower compression balls such as the Titleist So-Lo, the new DT Carry which replaced it, the Noodle, etc. This is due to slower swing speed.

  5. No.

  6. It depends, if you like the feel of the more expensive balls then go with them but is shouldn't make too much difference at this stage.

  7. Congratulations on being a decent player at a young age.  Keep at it, golf will stay with you your whole life.

All golf balls conform to certain standards of performance, at least the legal ones.  Using the Iron Byron machine, designs are tested and certified based upon defined parameters - distance, rotation and compression.  This is needed to keep the playing field level for all.

Every commercial for competing brands says the same thing: "Ours go farther straighter softer roll more blah blah blah"  Of course they are all lying to get you to try their brands.

Sadly, neither clubs nor balls come with a swing included.  You are on the right path, but until you are a 4-5 handicap your choice of brands and designs is insignificant.  Lessons and practice, youngster, lessons and practice.
