  1. Sunlight does not contain any vitamin D.  The light helps the skin to produce vitamin D.  

    I believe it is the UV light that is responsible for the vitamin D production, and normal glass blocks about 90% of the UV light, so it is possible to get some benefit of the sunlight through the glass.

    The sun doesn't send vitamin d down to us, we MAKE it in our bodies. But no, glass blocks UV radiation.
