Does the war cost $ need to stop?

After all we buy all our weapons from,,,,, oh yea, a plant in Missouri, Arizona, Alabama, Pennsylvania, Washington, Indiana, California, Tennessee, Illinois, Texas and even Oregon. It looks like we are really supporting the economy here. Why does the left wing think all the money spent goes to the enemy? It looks like a bunch of working Americans are getting a weekly paycheck, paying taxes, raising a family and many other things we do with our hard earned money.

But then you have the economy running on the parable of the broken window. Sure you can move money by breaking windows and paying people to fix it, but ultimately that is money that could have been spent elsewhere, on something productive and permanent. Likewise, the money gained from manufacturing weapons for the US is paid for by US tax payers and is likewise money that could have been spent elsewhere.

I'll try to show some sample about this,

I'm not talking about war not even a exercise .. goverments spend millions at regular day's with medium tension (peace time) too.

let's check ..

after the georgia conflict ( as u know ) U.S send some naval ships to black sea who carried medical supply etc. they pass bosphorus and territorial seas at blacksea and they reach at georgia coasts .. after few days russia gave a answer for humanetery aid operation. ( US - Spain and German Ships who carried Nato flag )

Missle Cruiser Moscow ( flag ship of russian black sea navy ) take a urgent order from admirals to leave the port ; with mediterranean sea & eastern atlantic route for join to "attack force" Kuznetsov at middle of the ocean.

Moscow are powerfull missile cruiser , thats why Nato send some "hunter" submarines ( who capable anti ship harpoon rockets -  undersea to surface ) beyond her for a delicate "escort" mission.

I'd guess we talking about more than 6 or 7 Type 209 Huntersubmarine under the Nato flag (real killers, so silent, so quick and speedy) .. they leave the ports for immidiatelly for contact with Moscow, until cruiser reach the main fleet at atlantic ocean.

O.K .. as u see there is no harm, no one hurt "yet" .. but both side spend millions ( USD ) for this single -- escort -- operation.

Imo this is good sample for spend money at the peace days. If they doesn't kill each other still O.K for me. Throw the money always better then split the blood.

We spend of money on the war. Like we could make America so much more advanced and better than it is now. The economy wouldn't be so bad either. It's close to 720 million a day for the war in Iraq.

Glad to see that someone else has taken Economics 101.  Many do not realize that if the government were to stop all this "reckless" spending, then hundreds of thousands would be out of a job.  The government spending money is what gets thousands of families by.  The unfortunate part is, much of that money still gets out to all those outsourced plants: feeding their nation with our money when our own nation could be doing that work here.  And probably better!
