Does the way I'm making my coffee efect it's taste?

Question

I put two tablespoons of coffee grounds into the fillter, I put the filter in a bowl, I bring some water to a boil in my cast iron skillet, then I pour the water into the filter, let it sit a minute, then take the filter out of the bowl, then pour the coffee into my cup.

yes it does. everyone make it different. that's why it tastes different when you drink it at someones house

If you don't have an automatic coffee maker, why dont you just buy Instant Coffee?  You heat some water up in the microwave, then add a tablespoon or two of the coffee to the hot water.

hmmm...

if the water is boiling while you pour it in the filter, the extreme heat may affect the taste of the coffe. it may be bitter.

but some people like it like that so go for it, man!
